The inspiration behind Blow It Up was a product of one drunken night at a bar in Gainesville, FL by vocalist Shannon Fitz and guitarist Corey Bilbo. Upon returning to Tallahassee, FL, the guys started writing songs and brought in Fitz’s brother Shane “T-Bone” Webb (former Puddle of Mudd and Shinedown drummer) and Kevin “Leotard” Coppola to complete the band. After a few short months a 3 song demo was made and their first single “Get Out” even received airplay on X101.5 (WXSR)’s Local Only Show along with press from many independent music magazines and websites throughout Florida.

Hide your girlfriends, hide your wives… Blow It Up is coming to town to party, with an energetic and in your face stage presence and a unique oldschool rock /punk sound!

With the backing of many successful rock musicians, venues and media personnel, Blow It Up has been keeping fairly busy the last 6 months playing shows here and there while  focusing on creating their first full length album to be released in early 2012 entitled “Greatest Hits.” The band has been through a few staff changes through the last 4 years but are proud to rock the stage with their current lineup of… FITZ, TBONE, WOODY, COREY AND ANDREW.

ALSO… Blow It Up is very excited to announce their latest addition to the band,  their first manager, Jason Sauer AKA “SOUR” of So Sour Designs! He has been longtime friends and supporters of the band and will be a big part of all the kick ass things that will be coming in 2012 for BLOW IT UP!
